My client had this idea for a campaign where the product itself would be part of the food. They supplied the layouts and I created the images using photography and Photoshop. Elements were photographed individually and then assembled in Photoshop. The shot of the Pepto bottle was created separately, then printed and pasted to a board at different sizes, similar to a real-world sprite. Then that printout was inserted into the food shots, to add the correct colour cast and shadows to the rest of the image. Then later, that sprite was replaced in Photoshop with a clean, colour-corrected image of the final product. Originally the client only wanted one image, but after it was delivered they decided to add more images to the campaign. The deadline was about 4 days each.
After the cheeseburger image was complete they client requested additional versions for the campaign.
